Domestic rugby comes to a head this weekend

This weekend sees the action hot up for two of Sotic’s most prestigious tournament clients, the Guinness PRO14 and the Aviva Premiership as the PRO14 moves into its knock out phase and the Premiership completes its final round of league games.

The Guinness PRO14 had a shake up this season with the addition of two South African teams, Toyota Cheetahs and Southern Kings, joining the 12 other teams from Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy.

Since the successful expansion into South Africa, the Guinness PRO14 is continuing to grow in strength and support, leading to rises in attendances and increased broadcast viewers.

With the completion of the PRO14 regular season last weekend the teams to compete in a bid to lift the trophy in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on May 26 have now confirmed.

Conference A will be represented by first place holders Glasgow Warriors, followed by Sotic clients Munster Rugby and the Toyota Cheetahs. While Conference B will be represented by group winners, and another of Sotic’s clients, Leinster Rugby, followed by Scarlets and Edinburgh Rugby.

As Conference winners, Glasgow and Leinster have advanced directly to the Semi-Finals where they have earned home advantage next weekend, while this weekend sees the other teams face off in the play-off games.

All of this weekends Guinness PRO14 matches will be covered in their live Match Centre.

The Aviva Premiership is also coming to a head this weekend, with the final six league matches all kicking off at 4pm on Saturday, with a huge amount still to play for.

After 21 captivating rounds of the competition, it promises to be a ‘Super Saturday’ to remember with all games covered in Premiership Rugby’s live Match Centre.
