Client Login Aberdeen FC’s Jonny Hayes nominated for PFA Scotland POTY shortlist Aberdeen FC’s Jonny Hayes has been names on the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year shortlist for the second year running. Players are nominated to the short-list following voting among players in the Scottish Professional Football League. Hayes is joined on the list by Celtic players Stuart Armstrong, Moussa Dembele & Scott Sinclair. Celtic have dominated the awards in recent years but if Hayes were to win, he would become the first Dons player to take the award since Scotland midfielder Jim Bett in 1990. The 2017 edition of the Tour of Britain, which marks Sotic’s fifth year as the digital provider for the event, will take place from 3-10th September and is set to finish only a few yards from Sotic’s Cardiff office The two new websites have been developed on WordPress, making content updates easier than ever with a simple and intuitive CMS and fast time-to-publish, and are hosted on Amazon Web Services, the most feature-rich and best-performing cloud provider in the world. Client Login From Rio to Loughborough – Sotic supporting elite sport Just a couple of weeks ago we were supporting World Sailing and the Ladies European Tour and their elite level participants at the Olympic Games in Rio… this weekend it’s the turn of the youngsters at the 2016 School Games. We’re working with the School Games providing digital support for their 2016 event which is taking place this weekend at Loughborough University and which will involve over 1600 of the nation’s finest young sports stars. The 2016 School Games is a multi-sport event for the UK’s elite young athletes of school age and provides our elite young sports people with the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels. Olympic swimming gold medallist Adam Peaty competed at the School Games in 2010 and 2011 so it really is a breeding ground for our future sporting talent. Organised by the Youth Sport Trust and supported by National Lottery funding from Sport England, the competition re-enforces the experience of Olympic and Paralympic Games complete with Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Competition is held in a total of twelve current and future Olympic and Paralympic sports: Athletics, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Rugby Sevens, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis. Client Login Cycling: Countdown to the 2016 Aviva Women’s Tour (15-19th June) The Aviva Women’s Tour gets underway this week from Southwold in Suffolk on Wednesday 15th June. The eyes of the women’s cycling world will be firmly on the UK’s first ever round of the new UCI Women’s WorldTour. Many of the world’s leading riders and teams will be participating in the five stage race which starts on the Suffolk coast and finishes in Northamptonshire. The race will visit seven counties in the heart of England, and there will be a first visit to the Peak District National Park on Stage Three, while Stage Two will head into the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in south Warwickshire.
