Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 (WRWC)

The tournament identity was officially unveiled last week at University College Dublin, the venue of the WRWC 2017 Pool matches, and the event was attended by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, incoming World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont, IRFU President Martin O’Sullivan, IRFU Chief Executive Philip Browne and WRWC17 Tournament Ambassador and former Ireland international Fiona Coghlan.

Sotic have worked with the IRFU to create a website www.irishrugby.ie/ireland2017, dedicated to keeping fans up to date with tournament news, and information. Those intending to visit Ireland for the tournament will also find lots of useful information.

With a number of teams still hoping to secure their places, the Pool Draw for the tournament will take place in November and the first of the pool matches will kick off on 9th August 2017. The final will be played at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast on 26th August 2017.

Organisers are encouraging fans to use the tournament tagline #BringIt and show the passion and enthusiasm that Ireland brings in supporting international sporting events.
